Stylish Sisters

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen have always been an inspiration to my style & also my life. Their style is beyond words. I was recently looking at pictures of them that are very old, but their outfits in them still amaze me. That's one of the reasons they inspire me so much. They wear things that, a year (or decade) later would still be the most stylish ensembles ever. They know how to chose timeless pieces that will work for them forever.

Fashion Diet

This summer, I've been on what you could call, a fashion diet. I haven't been shopping for clothing. I've spending money on nothing but beauty products and books. This Fall will be an entirely different story. The shopping list I've composed for Autumn may be my best yet. I feel like I really have a sense of what my Fall style will be. I switch styles so often but I feel like this one is really going to stay; I like it that much.

I've been busy with work but I feel bad about abandoning my blog. So now I'm blogging at 1 a.m. That's dedication, no? Don't give up on me just yet. I'm still here.

Last time I wrote, I told you that my Autumn Muses were Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo, Heidi Klum, Kourney Kardashian, Blair Waldorf, Emma Watson and Ashley Olsen. Well I'm really liking Alexa Chung more than anyone else. She's my main inspiration.

Here are a few of my favorite looks from her:

I love how she can do menswear and look as lovely as she does in a full-skirted dress. This fall, I have a lot of softer items on my list. I usually lean toward the tougher items, but not anymore. I want softer, romantic, ethereal.. With that said, I can't give up my love of androgyny. I'll definitely do menswear but in a softer way, like Alexa Chung. I'm feeling great about this upcoming season.

Autumn Love

Fall is knocking at our doors and I am elated and ready to let it in. My favorite season is here once again and the plans I have for my wardrobe have me more excited than ever before. I have been getting inspiration and ideas from every place imaginable. These are just some for the looks and beauty products that I'll be trying out this Fall. This coming season I plan on dealing with nothing but clean cut, polished pieces with the accessories bringing the edge.

Fall 2010 Muses: Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo, Heidi Klum, Kourney Kardashian, Blair Waldorf, Emma Watson and Ashley Olsen..to name a few.

Alexa Chung has recently become one of my favorite. Her style is the epitome of the modern lady. She can be dolled up with full skirts and dresses but still look her age. I love that she never has on too much makeup. She's always fresh faced. It's so good to know that we can look like women without looking too old/young or too fake. I adore her style, so expect to see more of her on Studded Bows.

Also, her clothing line, Alexa Chung for Madewell launches September 9th online and September 10th in stores. Go to Madewell.com to check it out. It is my mission to get every piece in my closet this Fall. That's how good it is.
Lifestyle of the Chic & Comfortable

I've become kind of obsessed with Starbucks, polished nails and BlackBerrys. Creating a lifestyle means choosing what you will eat, drink, wear, drive, where you will shop, party, and how you will look. This photo has some of the elements of my lifestyle; the Raybans, Starbucks, lipstick and the nails. I feel like you need perfectly polished nails if you're going to drink Starbucks. They just go hand in hand. I like to call them "Starbucks Ready Nails". I bet she has a BlackBerry in her other hand.

I like a lot of nice things. Those are just some of my lifestyle accessories and I'm adding more each day.
What are your must haves?
Class Started Two Hours Ago, Oh, Am I Late?

School is about to start once again. Some dread going back and some look forward to it. I'm in between. On the one hand, I love the Fall. I get to wear a bunch of layers and dark colors. On the other, I have to wake up and go to class. I am not a morning person at all. If it was up to me, I'd only come out at night and occasionally midday.
With early days, come the caffeine. I plan on getting another Starbucks card this Fall. Now that they have free wifi, it's going to be like I live there. I can just picture it now: nights at Starbucks in my big comfortable, chunky knit sweaters and Minnetonka moccasin boots, blogging and doing school assignments, my dark violet nails typing away on my Macbook and BlackBerry, drinking caramel macchiatos. Ahh, the life.
Fall, get here now!

All Dressed Up With No Where To Go

I would love to wear clothes like Blake Lively & Heidi Klum. Just look at the cut of Blake's top and Heidi's pink power suit. But where would I wear it? To the movies? Shopping? Starbucks? No. I couldn't wear those outfits any where here. I'd be over dressed. This is why I am anxious to move anyway. That suit is androgyny at it's best.

Androgynously Styled

I love dressing androgynously. Boys get all the cool stuff but I also love everything about women's clothing, so why can't I wear both? Well I can, and I will. This Fall I will be embracing my androgynous style to the fullest. These looks are from the italian clothing line MSGM. Every look is perfect. This is definitely inspiration for this upcoming season; just with a different color palette.
